- What format do you propose to use to create an ESting? A stop motion, claymation.
- What will happen in your proposed ESting? It will be a close up on a label that says "E4 brand E-string, it will zoom out to reveal a cheese stringthat will jump out of the wrapping and then eat himself creating a black hole that is clogged by an E4 logo.
- In regards to diegesis, where will your animation be set? It will be set in a corner shop and I will show that by having a backdrop of a shelf in a shop.
- Are there (and do you predict there will be) any limitations or difficulties to face when you produce your ESting? The only thing I can think of is how I'm going to make a realistic wrapper to go on top of the cheese string.
- Who is the target audience for your ESting? Essentially teenagers between 15 - 18.
Tasks
- Draw or take photographs of (depending on proposed format) your main characters then discuss who they are and what their dramatic motivation is - tell the reader a little bit about the character(s).
- Draw or take photographs of (depending on proposed format) your sets and locations that you hope to make/use. If you are using actual locations, you need to complete location recce forms AND releases. Once complete, annotate your drawings/photographs to discuss lighting.
- Embed the soundtrack and any sound effects that you will use and say where will you obtain it from. I will be using sound effects that I created with my own mouth but I will also be using the E4 track 'Africa' to accompany it.
- Storyboard the 10 second sequence and upload the finished storyboards to your blog. Think about the action and not the individual photographs - this is more about planning the movement of your characters and where they and the camera will be positioned. Just because it is an animation doesn't mean continuity, framing, POV, mise-en-scene, etc. isn't important.
- Complete all other relevant planning paperwork; risk assessment, prop and costume list, budgeting sheet, production schedule, etc.
